VEKA S.A.
VEKA Inc. produces all its products from old paper that is recycled to its facilities, producing paper which would end up in landfills as waste, with a cost to the environment.
In this way, about 9.000 tons per year are recycled and converted into a finished product, part of which is exported. The company for production of recycled paper contributes actively to the protection of the environment. For the production of steam, the company uses natural gas which is a clean form of fuel in conjunction with economizers in order to conserve and reduce CO2 emissions. The company applies techniques for recycling the water used in production, so as not to exhaust the natural resources of the aquifers.
The recycling of paper and nonuse of primary pulp, reduces drastically the energy consumption (heat, electricity) per ton of paper produced, since primary production requires large amounts of energy. The recycling also saves water, because recycling requires far fewer quantities per ton of paper.
Finally recycling, protects the valuable for our planet forests, otherwise deforestation would have been unavoidable, to convert them into raw material for papermaking.
