HALIVOURGIKI

Halyvourgiki is the leader company in the production of oblong steel products in Greece. It is the largest and most historic Greek steel industry with over 80 years of experience in production of steel products. During the decades of 1960 and 1970 Halyvourgiki was the only fully integrated steel industry in Greece. Having completed over the four years between 2003 – 2007 an investment program of 250 million euros in new, innovative and environmental friendly technologies, Halyvourgiki currently operates one of the most modern steel plants and oblong steel products in the world. Steel production is done by applying Best Available Techniques (BAT) using scrap as raw material. Therefore the activity of Halyvourgiki contributes to steel recycling and re-using of all grades of scrap generated by licensed recyclers in Greece and abroad.
