HELLENIC RECYCLING CENTER

altThe Hellenic Recycling Center is the first company in Greece to recycle electric and electronic equipment waste and has established a partnership with the Electric and Electronic Equipment Waste Alternative Management System. More specifically, the company focuses on the collection and processing of electric and electronic equipment waste in order to achieve maximum possible utilization of such waste, environmental protection and energy saving from the resulting materials.

The equipment of the Hellenic Recycling Center enables the collection and processing of all types of Electric and Electronic Appliances, from simple domestic appliances to very complex professional equipment.

As part of this effort, the company established REFRIGERATOR RECYCLING S.A., in cooperation with the Luxemburg company O.S.L., to focus on the collection of refrigerators in new facilities next to the existing Hellenic Recycling Center facilities.

The new plant is fully automated and can process 300,000 refrigerators per year, in a technologically advanced and environmentally friendly manner.

It was commissioned in December 2008, and when in full operation, it will employ 30 people.
